- Sounds of Imani, is a contemporary gospel recording recording artist who has been performing every since 1996 at different venues throughout the United States. The word Imani is an African word meaning "faith".
Sounds of Imani is very versatile in gospel music with a jazzy, and r & b flair. They are gifted and talented in urban gospel, praise and worship, prophetic praise, and even traditional gospel. Sounds of Imani works hard in the community by participating in various community outreach programs such as prison/correctional facility outreach, outdoor concerts, and special programs designed to encourage and uplift those who are in transitional housing, etc.
Pastors Gerald & Carol Ervin, lead vocalists have been faithfully serving in various facets of ministry, respectively, for over 27 years. They are currently the pastors of Acclaim Ministries International located at 13333 E. Warren in Detroit, MI; also, they are affiliated with the World Harvest Ministerial Fellowship in Columbus, OH under Pastor Rod Parsley.
Their previous release entitled "Revelation" will bless you richly as each song touches different areas in the lives of the believer from every walk of life. Each song has something special to offer and no song on the cd sounds the same. Sounds of Imani has developed a unique sound all their own that identifies them as an anointed independent artist for such a time as this! You must see them perform live - it's not just a performance but it's ministry!
The "Revelation" CD project was written and produced in conjunction with Daron L. Steward of Southfield, MI and features the most requested songs "Everybody", "Thank You", "He Cares For Me", "Fly Away", and the title cut "Revelation". CD available at www.cdbaby.com/soundsofimani.
